Weekend Soccer on TV - 14/15 May 2011

This time of the year often brings exciting matches as clubs play for championships and continental tournament spots.  There’s not a lot of that going on this weekend as most of the bigger leagues in Europe have already either crowned a champion or are damned close to doing so.  One notable exception to this is the Netherlands where the Eredivisie where Sunday’s battle between Ajax and Twente in Amsterdam will determine the league’s title.  Ajax needs a win; Twente just a draw.  The weight of the results of this match make it the number one Match of the Weekend despite the fact that neither club is currently in the WCR Top 25 Clubs in the World and despite the fact that the match will be broadcast in the United States only en español.

Another title that will be decided this weekend will be the FA Cup in which surprising Stoke City and Manchester City will face off in the final at Wembley Stadium.  Of course, there’s a ton of matches that are important with respect to relegation but my club (NUFC) is involved in it for a change, so I don’t really want to waste a lot of ink on the worst clubs in Europe.  If your club sucks, though, and you are interested in the relegation battle, check below to see when the match is being played and where you can watch it.  Most of all, have a great weekend!!!
