Weekend Soccer Television Schedule - 8/9 January 2011

As we continue to gear up to full action, we do have some high profile matches this weekend for your viewing enjoyment. First off, let’s discuss who is back. At midweek, Serie A came back in Italy and Primera Division will return in Mexico on Friday night. La Liga had already returned, there is cup action in France and England this weekend and Portugal’s Liga Sagres is back on ESPN3 on Sunday.

There are two matches this weekend featuring a pair of clubs in the WCR Top 25. In Spain, and on ESPND, second-place Real Madrid hosts Villarreal. In Italy, on ESPN3 FSC and FSE, two high-ranked Italian clubs that are coming off of midweek embarrassments face off when Napoli hosts Juventus on Sunday. All of the Anglophiles, however, will be focused on Manchester United’s FA Cup battle with Liverpool, which is also on Sunday. As a matter of fact, just watch all of your soccer on Sunday. Or at least most of it.

We’re bringing back the Top Five Matches of the Week feature this week and below are all of the matches that will be broadcast in the U.S. this weekend. As always, have a great weekend!!!
