Another weekend of club football, and another week full of blah matches. As always, there are some good ones. And there is no denying that there are plenty of opportunities to get your fix. There are at least twenty-four matches (more counting ESPN 360) being broadcast on Saturday alone. Still, we are a week or so away from things getting really exciting.
There is one match involving WCR Top 25 Clubs. That match takes place Saturday afternoon on FSC, when Genoa host Juventus in Serie A action. Most of the Serie A matches this week take place on Saturday, with FSC broadcasting various matches over the entire weekend, so there will be a few Saturday matches that aren’t broadcast until Sunday. I guess that happens, though, when your Saturday is so full.
I’m taking advantage of the lack of exciting European matches to fill the Top Five Matches of the Weekend list with matches from North and South America. These include matches from Brazil, where the Paulista League playoffs begin at the semifinal stage, and Mexico, where the top four clubs in the Clausura are taking on each other.
