With ten days to go before the knockout stage of the European Champions’ League begins, there is not a lot of grey area in who you think is going advance. In six of the eight matchups, at least 75% of you share the same expectations. Neither of the other two are nail-biters, for that matter.
Seven of the eight teams that you are picking to advance are currently in the World Club Rankings Top 25. The lone exception is Sevilla, who is playing Fenerbahce in the Round of 16. (And playing Barcelona this weekend.)
Of course, the votes mean nothing and I’m sure that in at least of couple of instances our polls will prove as accurate as those predicting the outcome of the New Hampshire primary. Nevertheless, if you want to participate and haven’t had a chance yet, the choices are to your right.
Who do you love most so far?
83% Manchester United over Lyon
82% Barcelona over Celtic
82% Porto over Schalke 04
79% Sevilla over Fenerbahce
78% Chelsea over Olympiakos
75% Real Madrid over Roma
61% Arsenal over AC Milan
60% Inter Milan over Liverpool
Obviously, people like picking the favorites, but then they wouldn’t be favorites if people didn’t like picking them.
